Do you know that Senators are required to sign an Oath as per the Constitution Act 1867? The Oath states:
"I [name] do sincerely promise and swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to His Majesty King George and him will defend to the utmost of my power, against all traitorous conspiracies and attempts whatsoever, which shall be made against his person. "
Meaning of the Oath to the King in our democratic monarchy is an Oath to the sovereignty of the people which includes our God given rights and freedoms.
In section 31 of the Constitution it also states that a senator must resign if:
The Place of a Senator shall become vacant in any of the following Cases:
(2) If he takes an Oath or makes a Declaration or Acknowledgment of Allegiance, Obedience, or Adherence to a Foreign Power, or does an Act whereby he becomes a Subject or Citizen, or entitled to the Rights or Privileges of a Subject or Citizen, of a Foreign Power.
We have drafted a letter to the senators addressing the guaranteed Livable basic income bills that is calling out the senators to remind them of their oath, and the requirement to resign when they pledge allegiance to a foreign entity.
We are asking everyone to send this letter to the senators to remind them of the oath they took, and their function to protect the common law of Canada, and our sovereignty.
You can find the Senate Letter HERE. All you need to do is click the link, enter your name and email then hit the "submit" button. By doing so, the letter will be sent to ALL the senators and MPs. It's that easy!
